Who we are

This website is operated by God's Living Word Churches of Christ, Inc., a church located at 17775 Main Street, Dumfries, Virginia 22026. This policy explains what information the website collects and how we handle it.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us: your name, email address, subject and message when you use the contact form; your name, contact details, your request and your sharing preference when you submit a prayer request; and your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter. Each submission also records the network address it came from, used solely to protect the site from abuse.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to you, to pray with you, and to send you church news you asked for. We never sell your information, and we never share it with third parties except as needed to deliver these services (for example, our email delivery provider sends our messages).

Prayer requests are treated with special care

Prayer requests are visible only to our prayer team and administrators. If you mark a request "prayer team only," it is never shared beyond that team. What you write cannot be edited by anyone after you submit it.

How long we keep things

Prayer requests are anonymized after about twelve months and then removed. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you ask to be removed. The network address recorded with a submission is deleted together with that record.

Third-party services

Some pages embed content from other services: sermon videos play through YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, the map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps, and we link to our Facebook page. When you interact with those services, their own privacy policies apply. Giving happens entirely outside this website — through Cash App or by mailed check — so no payment information ever passes through this site.

Photos

We seek permission before publishing photographs of our members, and especially of children, on this website.

Your choices

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
